Frequently Asked Questions
Do you install Starlink systems in vehicles?
Yes. We specialise in professional Starlink installations for touring and remote travel applications.
This includes installs for:
- 4WDs and caravans 12V Systems
- Electric vehicles (BYD, GWM, DENZA)
- Roof-mounted or portable Starlink setups
- Savage Tech Accessories such as Bullbars, Roof Platforms, Suspension and Rollers
We design solutions that are reliable, safe, and built for real off-road use.
Can Starlink run on 12V power?
Yes — but it must be done correctly.
Starlink systems require stable power and cannot simply be wired into standard 12V accessories without the correct conversion hardware.
Do you sell plug-and-play Starlink power kits?
Yes. We offer tested plug-and-play kits designed specifically for vehicle and caravan use.
Do you offer remote Starlink troubleshooting or setup help?
Yes — we regularly assist customers Australia-wide with Starlink setups.
Basic advice is generally free, but detailed troubleshooting may require a paid consultation if it involves:
- Reviewing your wiring layout
- Diagnosing voltage issues
- Custom diagrams or planning
- Step-by-step remote support
We’ll always discuss any fees upfront.
Can you help plan a full touring connectivity setup?
Absolutely.
We can design complete remote connectivity systems including:
- Starlink power integration
- Battery and DC-DC charging support
- Canopy power distribution
- USB-C PD delivery for Starlink Mini
- Touring-ready internet + comms setups
Whether you’re doing weekend trips or full-time outback travel, we can build a solution around your needs.
Can you install Starlink in-store?
Yes — installations are available at our Braeside, Victoria workshop.
Install bookings are required, as Starlink work is often custom and demand is high.
We can, however, carry out general assessments and provide a quote.
Do you test your Starlink products before selling them?
Yes — every All Terrain Action Starlink product is developed and tested using real vehicles and touring conditions. We don’t sell theoretical solutions — only proven setups that we use ourselves.
Do you manufacture your own products?
Most products branded All Terrain Action are designed and developed in-house. Manufacturing is completed both locally and overseas to our strict specifications.
As a business built around tourism, four-wheel driving, and remote outback travel, we understand how critical reliability and quality are in the products we offer. Every product is tested in real-world conditions before being released — and we use the same gear ourselves.
Do you stock your products in-store?
Yes. If a product is listed as “In Stock” on our website, it is available for purchase or collection from our Braeside, Victoria store.
In most circumstances, we can provide everything you need in a complete kit during your visit, so there’s no need to return – unless the job requires workshop fabrication such as welding, painting, or cutting.
For most 12V and automotive electronic customisations, a short 15–30 minute wait in-store is usually enough for us to have everything prepared for you. It does depend also how busy we might be.
If you are travelling a distance, we recommend contacting us beforehand to confirm availability.
Do you offer custom work?
Yes — custom fabrication is where our brand began.
We specialise in designing and building in-house solutions for needs that aren’t yet met by the market. Many of the products you see in our store today originally started as custom requests from customers.
We pay close attention to demand within the touring and 4WD community, so if you need something specific, there’s a good chance we may already have a concept or design underway.
Feel free to contact us to discuss your requirements.
I’m handy, can I do my own installation?
Absolutely. Many of our products are suitable for DIY installation.
We’re happy to point you in the right direction by recommending the correct components, ensuring compatibility, and preparing as much of the kit as possible in-house before shipping it to you.
If you’re unsure, feel free to contact us for guidance.
